Quran 43:8

فَأَهْلَكْنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًۭا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

And We destroyed greater than them in [striking] power, and the example of the former peoples has preceded.
