Overview

Ishaq (Isaac) is the son of Ibrahim, whose birth was announced to Ibrahim's wife by the angelic guests, together with the glad tidings of Yaqub after him (11:71). Ibrahim praised Allah for granting him Ismail and Ishaq in old age (14:39).

And his Wife was standing, and she smiled. Then We gave her good tidings of Isaac and after Isaac, Jacob.
